Let's celebrate the beauty and heritage of Kente weaving!

ABOUT THE EWE KENTE FOUNDATION

Bob Dennis, the director, is one of Bobo’s sons. He is a master weaver and a promoter of Kente cloth and the author of the book “The Pride of Ewe Kente". Bob has exhibited his Kente cloths and taught several workshops both in Ghana and abroad. With this expertise he aims to promote and deepen the culture of weaving, encourage skills development and creativity. The foundation offers a quiet, welcoming learning environment for learners that fosters community living.

We weave and sell Kente cloths and other merchandise.

Kente cloth has become a kind of generic name for strip woven cloth. For over 2000 years, strip weaving has been the domestic industry of village families of both the Ashanti and Ewe cultures of Ghana.

Kente cloth has become the traditional fabric of Ghana, and it has the same ready identity as tartans have to Scotland.
